1 - Hardware section

.

FIPWATCHER consists of a PCie LP (low profile) card for integration into compact motherboards. On one side there is a Sub-9 connector for connecting the FIP WorldFIP network, and on the other side a connector for the PCi express bus.

There are 3 standardized versions of the WorldFIP FIP bus (31.25 Kbits/s, 1Mbits/s or 2.5 Mbits/s). It allows you to acquire and view all frames circulating on the FIP / WorldFIP networks.

2 - Software section

The software section of Fipwatcher is integrated into FIPLabs FIPWatcher tab. Very easy to use, without programming, FIPWatcher displays FIP / WorldFIP frames.

The software part: display of raw frames, analyzes and statistics of the data are now integrated into the FIPLabs software, in order to more precisely analyze and cross-reference the data on the FIP/WorldFIP network.

Frames are captured and their content displayed, even in the case of erroneous frames which are usually rejected by the processors used on FIP / WorldFIP equipment.

FIPWatcher comes with the FIPCapture Dll. This DLL, API written in C/C++, has a set of functions and allows you to integrate the bus spy into client applications.

Functions: general information of the FIP network, filtering of FIP frames, statistics, status of the bus arbiter, status of passive stations, remote server, macrocycle detection, etc.
